The Aroid Supreme Mix is PlantScraper's most advanced ready-to-use substrate — engineered specifically for collectors working with demanding species. Where standard aroid mixes cover the basics, the Supreme Mix goes further: adding Tree Fern Fiber to the composition, which mimics the epiphytic growth conditions rare aroids experience on the forest floor. The result is a substrate that actively supports root development, microbial activity and long-term plant health rather than simply preventing root rot.

For Alocasia, Monstera and Anthurium in particular — species that are sensitive to compaction, inconsistent moisture and poor aeration — the difference between a basic mix and the Supreme Mix is measurable in root quality and growth rate.

Composition:
30% BioActive Growing Medium — peat-free enriched organic substrate made from biocompost, organic humus, biochar and beneficial microorganisms. Feeds the root zone without synthetic inputs.
15% Orchid Bark — retains moisture while promoting air circulation and reducing root rot risk.
30% Chunky Perlite — prevents compaction, improves aeration and supports drainage.
